They never go well for Patti’s people in the postseason. We lament the absolutely preventable “unnecessary night of nonsense” resulting in game postponements after four hours of concessions sales and out of touch commentators. But that extra airtime sure squeezed in a lot of not-family-friendly ads, causing us to defend ourselves as not prudes but come on there are children watching. We did enjoy the context matters bit though. The Brewers celebrated their sweep with the Captain saying captain things, custom champagne labels, and timeless tickets. And how about that David Hamilton saving his homers for us? Chase and Jose have a hero/villain thing happening, and Jonathan channels Baby Shark power. Joey and Allie share a mutual admiration moment. Award season begins with finalists announced for MLBPA’s Players Choice Awards and the Rawlings Gold Glove. Winter ball is going to cost Pottymouth some money, and LIDOM kicked off with some familiar faces.
